When we received Kaiden yesterday, we agreed to a 'harmonious period'. This is roughly 24 hours to make sure we really want to follow through with it once we've met him. It's very rare that anyone does not move forward. In those rare cases, I believe the parents were not completely prepared for what an institutionalized child would be like.
